On the first page after the table of contents of the 'Vision for Science 2025 - choices for the future' there is a collage of portraits from a long time ago - and all of them are of men. They are the Dutch Nobel Prize Winners. On the opposite page it says in big letters: the Dutch can be proud of their science and their scientists.
The second to last subject to be discussed in the report, on page 70, is the position of women in academia. It states that there is a lot of female talent that remains unused in Dutch academia, especially in higher positions. To improve this situation it is essential to become aware of implicit prejudices. The latter obviously does not apply to the authors of this vision of the future. We made an alternative collage with only women.
