Athena's Angel Judi Mesman has been awarded the Stevin Prize

On September 3, 2021, the Dutch Research Council (NWO) announced that Leiden University Professor Judi Mesman has been awarded a Stevin Prize, the highest possible scientific award in the Netherlands.

Athena's Angel Judi Mesman advocates for social justice. She is particularly renowned for her research on the intergenerational transmission of social norms and behavioral patterns in different cultural contexts. She examines the consequences of these mechanisms for unequal opportunities and prejudice in society. The evaluation panel describes Judi as someone "with enormous energy and charisma" who is "broadly committed to social justice within her discipline and in other domains".

We would like to warmly congratulate Judi on this outstanding recognition for her important work!
