LNVH presents Women Professors Monitor 2017

On December 12, the Dutch Network of Women Professors (Landelijk Netwerk Vrouwelijke Hoogleraren; LNVH) published its Women Professors Monitor, which shows that, at the end of 2016, 19,3% of the professor-level FTEs at Dutch universities were filled by women. That is an increase of 1.2% in comparison tot the end of 2015. It is striking that for the fifth year in a row, the percentage of female PhD students is dropping. The LNVH calls on universities to focus both on achieving target figures for women in the highest levels of science, but also to have an eye for the new generation of female scientists.
